CAD development

I was a very early advocate of CAD in my practice, introducing Autocad in the early 90’s, but I have not personally become a proficient user, relying on and encouraging my staff to develop their skills, including extensive customization.

The very first images are those from 1991 and produced from a very early release 10 of Autocad, using inhouse customization for 3D and rendering capability. In the early 2000’s we evaluated and made the decision to move from Autocad to an Archicad platform, using both PC and Mac.

The later images are produced from the ArchiCad model and then enhanced in Photoshop. Again, I hope to document the history and development of CAD ( and the use of computers generally ) in the practice over these past 30 years.
